DJ ALMOND BROWN IS TAKING OVER Q THURSDAYS ON THE HILL

Thursdays will never be the same in Seattle! Just off the heels of their grande opening, Q Seattle's hottest new nightclub is launching "Special Q Thursdays" featuring one of Seattle's most up and coming producer/DJs Almond Brown.

DJ Almond Brown, exceptionally well known in the Seattle music scene for his commitment to pumping out the hottest and most original house music sounds.  You can hear the dedication to the craft of making people lose their minds on the dance floor, if you've ever experienced a DJAB session.  His sets are an exercise in cross genre flexibility and harmony of funky, vocal and progressive house. When asked what inspires his creativity on he decks Almond Brown said, “It really depends on the crowd, mood, & energy."  There is something for everyone in his sets.

A musician since childhood, most Sunday mornings were spent in church, playing drums for the choir, and evenings listening to Earth, Wind, & Fire, Elton John, and the Ohio Players. Dj’ing for over 20 years, he is equally as comfortable singing, or in the studio writing & producing. As one of Seattle’s most sought after artists, Almond Brown is an advocate for creating a diverse community through sound.  Earlier this year he wrote and produced on "SKIN," a collaboration released for The SKIN project who's mission is to create Unity, Acceptance & Love in humanity.

BBINT Magazine caught up with the DJ earlier today and we wanted to know what he hopes to create with Q, " I'm committed to supporting Q in upholding a standard of music for the space that keeps people coming back and to maintaining music integrity that appropriately introduces and promotes sounds of artist past, present and up and coming."  "Tonight is going to be amazing and on this very special night I am happy to have my DJ friend and guest Karl Kamakahi with me," Almond Brown said.

As the excitement builds to Thursday nights launch, Almond Brown posted to his Facebook profile, "I have to say I have never experienced the kind of excitement that's happening around Q. The city's nightlife is BUZZING, people are talking, and helping to create this new culture around the club. I honestly don't think this means the demise of any venue. I see it simply bringing more people out, which feeds the overall attendance of not only Q, but venues folks may not have tried for a while. Again, so honored to be part of the Q family. See y'all tonight. I don't plan to be served...I WILL SERVE!"

Q is a state-of-the-art, 12,500 sq. ft. multilevel lounge and nightclub located in Seattle's vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood that will set a new standard for excellence by returning to the fundamentals of what makes a nightclub experience great: innovative interior design, groundbreaking sound and lighting, exceptional service, and our twist on specialty drinks and cocktails, including the club’s own signature line of infused and flavored vodkas.

Q will be open seven days a week, serving both as a lounge on weekdays and as a nightclub on weekends. No matter whether you are seeking a relaxed atmosphere after work or a fun night of dancing, you will be able find it at Q. Leave behind the hassles of the clubs in Belltown and Pioneer Square, and don't worry about the elitism and attitude found in so many upscale lounges – because at Q, everyone is welcome.

The space is designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, the AIA award-winning architects behind such projects as the iconic Apple Cube on New York’s Fifth Avenue, Pixar Studios Headquarters, and Seattle City Hall, to name a few.

In addition, Q has incorporated world-class audio-visual components as part of its overall design, providing the most memorable experience for our patrons possible. These include a sound system by Funktion One from England that's been designed by Sound Investment AV, and state of the art lighting design by Steve Lieberman of the award-winning SJ Lighting in Los Angeles.

Q is located at 1426 Broadway, Seattle, WA. | Find Q on facebook HERE.

A Brilliant Remake Davidson Ospina Feat. David Walker "The More I Get - The More I Want It"

When I think of soulful Iconic sounds, I think of the motown era and we are all familiar with the soulful tunes of Teddy Pendegrass.  Teddy had a way of delivering a song that left you  moved, touched and inspired.  So often the creations of music greats go forgotten, and every now and then they are remembered and paid respect through a remake of their original creations.

Teddy is sure to be dancing to the most recent remake of his tune "The More I Get- The More I Want It" by Davidson Ospina featuring David Walker.  This remake is jubulant and filled with the passion of old with a new zest and sparkle of modern house.  The production is on point and David's vocal interpretation will leave you wanting to hit the replay button.

There is something to be said about "when two or three are gather"... you saints out there know the rest.  Let's just say that Melonie Daniels and Barbara Tucker both bring their legacy, spirit and soul to this project providing radiating background vocals that mixed together breahes life into the space of any dance floor, club, party or arena.  There is a sense of community when artist come together and create. Create out of love and out of passion; sharing their gifts without reason.  Only the creators of this great remake knows what it took in order that they come together and share of themselves in love, but one thing we know for sure is that the world will be enlivened and impacted by their creation and generosity.

"The More I Get- The More I Want It" is set to world premier in March, but you can get a sneak preview here at BBINT Magazine.  Be sure to like us on facebook and keep updated with entertainment news breaking around the world.
